Why does people love renovation?

Because renovation is all about redesigning the house and it will look beautiful and cosy than before. As such, shopping center have always been re-designing and restructuring to make mall fantastic to draw more crowds in. As for residential, it is all about being home and relax.

Patience is the keyword during renovation period. If you don't, just prepare to suck your thumb.

You have to wait till the final project is completed for those who can't really visualise. People who are in the art will have stronger visualisation and it works easier and better for them because the final look is already saved in their mind.

Before the home is renovated beautifully, there will be lots of dust and debris. The nosiest stage is when they are hacking the wall.

Here's the most extensive hacking stage.

Debris may be all over, but it look good when everything had been tore down for new tiles to be up later.

The coming stage for the house will be slightly slower because of the touch up like waterproofing the floor and plastering the wall which required more time to smooth it.

Jiak Tok

This entry is almost forgotten, hence posting it right now. Jiak Tok is one of the common practice for most Chinese, especially to deity or during hungry ghost month. What is the main purpose for it? Basically, raise fund. Currently, the temple The Ongies often go, is still new and undergoing some renovations, that's where the devotees will come and chip in. Back then, Cait was just few months old when she first attend to such occasion. Now, Clar turn. During the period of bidding and consuming of food, both princesses are quite cooperative and did not fuss a lot until later on. Partly due to heat and noise. But it is a good experience for them. Praying to Tai Sui

It's the period of praying to Tai Sui now during Chinese New Year. Almost all Chinese will head up to temple to get blessing from Tai Sui . For those zodiac sign that crash with the year of Tai Sui must pray for smooth year. Every year, there will be 4 zodiac signs that crash with Year of Tai Sui . Chong is worse than Fan.  It is better to pray to Tai Sui every year; at least you get bless. When praying to Tai Sui , you must not forget to return thanks back before end of year; which is before Christmas Day,  after Dong Zhi . Cait and Clar will get bless as well, same goes to rest of the family. The usual place they often went is at Paya Lebar, Gu Cai Ba Temple (Sheng Hong Gong).
